Gamers are joining their forces to mass-report PS5 pro scalpers on eBay. Their goal is to bring down the listings of the PS5 pro limited 30th-anniversary edition stock, which scalpers are trying to sell at a higher price.
On 26th September 2024, PlayStation released a special edition of the PS5 Pro console. On the same day, it was revealed that this stock is limited to 12,300 pieces only. As expected, within a few seconds the PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition started selling out, adding to the disappointment of player who lost their chances to grab it.
Another plot twist appeared on eBay when the same consoles were listed in multiple numbers at a much higher rate, up to USD 10,000. The scalpers were ahead in the race to get their hands on the limited stock.
As reported, the gamers are now taking their revenge, by reporting the scalpers on eBay for breaching the company’s terms of use.

PS5 pro scalpers have breached eBay’s terms of use
The same X account has further elaborated and shared the specific steps to report the scalpers to other gamers.
Apparently, eBay’s seller terms do not allow the selling of limited quantity items with an increased price before their release. Hence, the gamers are joining in to report the scalpers for violating the seller’s terms, which may bring down many other listings in the coming days.
