Kabosu, the face of Dogecoin, the largest memecoin by market cap, reportedly passed away on the morning of May 24 at an estimated age of 18 years. Shiba Inu’s iconic MEME went viral in 2010, which later led to the birth of Dogecoin in the year 2013. The DOGE coin reportedly went on to become the largest memecoin by market capitalization to date. This inspired other major dog-themed memecoins such as Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Floki (FLOKI). This Sunday, a memorial ceremony for the iconic Shiba Inu dog will be held at the Flower Kaori in Kotsu no Mori, Narita City, from 1 pm to 4 pm.
