NewEdge Wealth Adds to Growing Miami Office With Former Wellington Management Equity Portfolio Manager

Pool was previously a Partner and Senior Managing Director at Wellington Management where he managed multi-billion-dollar global equity portfolios with a focus in long/short and long only format. He joins NewEdge Wealth as a Managing Director and will work with team leader Pat Dwyer, a NewEdge Wealth Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor. He will also join the firm’s Investment Committee alongside notable internal members Rob Sechan, CEO and Co-Founder; Cameron Dawson, Chief Investment Officer, and Ben Emons, Senior Portfolio Strategist.

NewEdge Wealth, which launched in December 2020, continues to expand its national footprint. In June, the firm announced the opening of a San Francisco and Nashville-area office. A Bentonville, Arkansas, office was launched in March. NewEdge Wealth now has eight offices in addition to its headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

Pool joined Wellington Management in 2000. He received his bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard University and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
